Key Takeaways
- Baptist Health renews its partnership with Inter Miami CF, originally signed in 2020, now entering its seventh year.
- The health system becomes a Founding Partner of Miami Freedom Park, the club’s new stadium opening in April 2026.
- Baptist Health retains front jersey branding on kits across all Inter Miami CF Academy age groups.
- Two dedicated fan spaces carry the Baptist Health name within the Miami Freedom Park district: the Baptist Health Sports Fields and the Baptist Health Family Fan Zone.
- The partnership covers medical care for three teams: the First Team, Inter Miami CF II, and the Academy.
A Six-Year Partnership Gets a Major Upgrade
When Inter Miami CF launched in 2020, Baptist Health was there from the start. Six years later, the South Florida-based hospital system is deepening its commitment as the club prepares to move to Miami Freedom Park in April.
Baptist Health will serve as the Official Medical Team and Hospital System across all three levels of the organization. Medical director Harlan Selesnick, M.D., leads a team that includes primary physicians Luis Rodriguez, M.D. and Fernando Moya, M.D.
The Presenting Partner designation for the Inter Miami CF Academy remains in place, with Baptist Health branding visible on front-of-jersey kits for every age group in the academy.
What Baptist Health Gets Inside Miami Freedom Park
Two activations inside the new stadium district carry the Baptist Health name. The Baptist Health Sports Fields and Baptist Health Family Fan Zone will serve as gathering points on matchdays, with both organizations planning health and wellness programming within those spaces.
Outside the new stadium, Baptist Health will continue as presenting partner of the Baptist Health Community Field in Fort Lauderdale, adjacent to the club’s existing home at Inter Miami CF Stadium, keeping recreational access open to local youth athletes after the First Team relocates.
Community Programming Already in Motion
The partnership has already produced several community-facing initiatives, including Nurses Appreciation Week events, First Team player visits to Baptist Health patients, and a Breast Cancer Awareness Night in November.
“We are proud to provide world-class sports medicine and orthopedic care for the Inter Miami CF players and organization,” said Bo Boulenger, president and CEO of Baptist Health. “Miami and all of South Florida are excited for the opening of the new stadium.”
What This Means for the Youth Sports Industry
Long-term healthcare partnerships tied to professional club academies are increasingly common in MLS, and this renewal shows how that model can scale. Baptist Health’s front-of-kit branding across all academy age groups gives the health system direct visibility with youth athletes and their families at every level of the club’s development pipeline.
