NBC Sports’ SportsEngine Play streaming to be available at Sports Facilities Companies SFC facilities
SportsEngine Play, the new youth and amateur sports streaming platform from NBC Sports Next, has forged a strategic partnership with Sports Facilities Companies (SFC) to revolutionize video streaming capabilities across SFC-managed venues nationwide. This collaboration aims to elevate the spectator experience and empower young athletes by capturing and streaming comprehensive coverage of all sporting events through integrated camera setups.
The initiative will roll out across more than 60 SFC venues, including flagship locations such as Emerald Acres Sports Connection in Illinois, AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk in Overland Park, Kansas, WYO Sports Ranch in Casper, Wyoming, Morristown Landing in Tennessee, and Sand Mountain Park in Alabama. Each venue will benefit from state-of-the-art camera technology designed to capture every angle of the action, ensuring that no moment of competition is missed.
“SportsEngine Play launched in October 2023 as a subscription streaming service tailored for amateur sports, offering organizations, leagues, and athletes the ability to capture and stream video content across various devices,” said Will McIntosh, President of NBC Sports Next. “Our partnership with SFC represents a pivotal step in expanding our infrastructure to support the youth and amateur sports industry. We are committed to delivering on our promise to young athletes and their families that their most important moments in competition and performance will be showcased with excellence.”
In addition to live and on-demand event streaming, SportsEngine Play’s All Access subscription tier features exclusive instructional videos from renowned athletes such as Michael Phelps, Larry Fitzgerald, Shaun White, and Kerri Walsh Jennings. These videos offer invaluable insights into training regimens, leadership skills, and mental health strategies, enhancing the educational aspect of the platform.
“Our collaboration with SportsEngine Play underscores our dedication to operating top-tier sports and events properties across the United States,” stated Mike Kelly, Executive Vice President of Operations for SFC. “By investing in cutting-edge technology and solutions, we aim to expand our capacity to serve athletes and communities better.”
Sports Facilities Companies manages a diverse portfolio of venues nationwide, including notable locations like the Hoover Met Complex in Alabama, Publix Sports Park in Florida, Fort Bend County Epicenter in Texas, and Cedar Point Sports Center in Ohio. These venues are pivotal in hosting a wide range of sports and recreational activities, contributing significantly to local economies and community engagement.
This partnership not only highlights the growing importance of technology in youth sports but also reinforces the commitment to enhancing both the athlete and spectator experience. By integrating advanced streaming capabilities and educational content, SportsEngine Play and SFC are paving the way for a more interactive and inclusive future in amateur sports.
