Key Takeaways
- Torchy’s Tacos donated $80,000 to the U.S. Soccer Foundation after its summer kids meal promotion wrapped on July 19, per the company’s announcement.
- The campaign ran five and a half weeks across almost 120 restaurants, spanning in-restaurant, digital, and third-party orders.
- Funds flow to Foundation programs that engaged 1.2 million youth over the past year, according to the organization.
- The promotion opens a broader partnership that includes a separate charitable contribution from Torchy’s, the company said.

A Summer Promotion With a Disclosed Dollar Figure
Torchy’s Tacos announced it raised $80,000 for the U.S. Soccer Foundation through its summer kids meal giveback campaign, which ran June 11 through July 19 at restaurants nationwide. The Austin-based fast-casual chain shared the final total on Instagram, thanking guests who purchased kids meal combos during the promotional window.
The result puts a concrete number on a campaign Torchy’s launched in early June, timed to rising soccer interest during the 2026 World Cup summer. Across the company’s almost 120 locations, the total works out to roughly $670 per restaurant over the five-and-a-half-week run.
How the Kids Meal Giveback Campaign Worked
Per the company’s June announcement, a portion of kids meal proceeds across all ordering channels, including in-restaurant, digital, and third-party platforms, went directly to the U.S. Soccer Foundation.
Each kids meal combo during the promotion featured a limited-edition “Soccer Connects Us All” collectible cup and an interactive sticker sheet, available while supplies lasted. The tie-in built on a kids menu refresh Torchy’s completed earlier this year, which added customizable combos for guests ages 12 and under with entree, side, and drink choices.
Paul Macaluso, CEO of Torchy’s Tacos, said at launch that the company was “proud to support the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s work to create more opportunities for kids to play, grow and build lasting memories through the sport.”
Where the $80,000 Goes
The U.S. Soccer Foundation directs partner funding toward three areas: building safe places to play, training coach-mentors, and running soccer-based youth development programs in under-resourced communities.
The Foundation reported engaging 1.2 million youth in its programs over the past year. Its signature infrastructure effort, the mini-pitch initiative, has installed more than 900 small-sided fields to date, with a stated goal of reaching 1,000 by the end of 2026 as part of its World Cup legacy push. The organization was founded as a legacy of the 1994 FIFA World Cup and operates as a 501(c)(3) headquartered in Washington, D.C.
“Partners like Torchy’s help us bring the game to more children by supporting safe places to play, trained coach-mentors and programs that use soccer to support youth development,” said Ed Foster-Simeon, President and CEO of the U.S. Soccer Foundation, in the launch announcement.
After the $80,000: What the Torchy’s Partnership Includes Next
The summer campaign was positioned as the opening move in a longer relationship. Per the June release, the partnership includes a separate charitable contribution from Torchy’s beyond the kids meal proceeds, and the chain has previously supported local youth soccer organizations through meal donations.
For the Foundation, the timing aligns with its most visible year since 1994. The next confirmed milestone is the mini-pitch target: 100 more installations to reach 1,000 by the end of 2026.
