Key Takeaways
- Minority Prospects, founded in 2020, counts 147 MLB Draft picks among its alumni and more than 2,000 college scholarships earned by its players.
- Under the new agreement, select Perfect Game events will air on Minority Prospects TV, YouTube and Instagram, with both sides sharing content and promotion.
- This is Perfect Game’s third creator-native media rights deal in 2026, following Youth Prospects in April and Doubted Athletes in June.
- The partnership went live in October at the WWBA World Championship in Jupiter, Florida, Perfect Game’s top fall event.
Perfect Game, which describes itself as the world’s largest youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, announced a media rights partnership with Minority Prospects on November 2, 2026. Under the deal, the Atlanta-based organization will broadcast select Perfect Game events across its social channels. According to Perfect Game, it is the company’s third media rights partnership with a creator-native platform this year.
What the Perfect Game Media Rights Partnership Covers
The agreement gives Minority Prospects rights to carry select Perfect Game events on all of its social media platforms, including Minority Prospects TV, its YouTube channel and its Instagram account, according to the release. The two organizations will also collaborate on content and cross-promotion.
The release did not specify which events are included or disclose financial terms.
The partnership launched before the announcement. Minority Prospects produced content last month at the WWBA World Championship in Jupiter, Florida, which Perfect Game calls its premier fall event. Coverage featured top amateur players competing in front of college coaches, professional scouts and former MLB players, the company said.
Perfect Game said the deal gives it another channel to reach players, families and fans. For Minority Prospects, the release says the partnership gives its athletes and audiences greater access to the largest events in amateur baseball.
“Launching this partnership in Jupiter, in front of the best players and evaluators in the country, was the right way to start, and we’re excited about what we can build together,” said Perfect Game CEO Rob Ponger.
How Big Is Minority Prospects?
Alexander Wyche founded Minority Prospects in Atlanta in 2020. The release describes it as the largest platform in the world for minority baseball and softball prospects. Its track record in six years, as cited in the release:
- 147 MLB Draft picks among its alumni
- More than 2,000 college baseball and softball scholarships earned by its players
- More than 95,000 participants served through free youth clinics
The organization’s nonprofit arm, MBP Helping Hands, runs those clinics alongside educational and community outreach programs.
Minority Prospects also operates its own national event calendar. That calendar includes the HBCU All-Star Games, the MBP All-American Game presented by Adidas, the MBP Collegiate League and the MBP Junior World Series.
“Together, we can expand opportunities, increase exposure and help ensure that talent, not access, determines a young athlete’s future,” said Wyche, who serves as CEO and founder.
Perfect Game’s Position in the MLB Draft Pipeline
Perfect Game says it produces nearly 10,000 events each year, spanning hundreds of thousands of games and showcases nationwide. The scale of that event footprint is why its inventory carries weight in scouting circles.
According to the company:
- More than 2,600 players who appeared in a Perfect Game event have reached Major League Baseball.
- Since 2003, 16,397 Perfect Game alumni have been selected in the MLB First-Year Amateur Player Draft.
- In the 2025 Draft, 92 percent of all selected players had played in Perfect Game events, and every first-day pick had attended one.
The new deal pairs that event volume with a distribution partner that has built its audience on social video. Perfect Game owns the events. Minority Prospects brings the channels and the community following.
Three Creator Deals in Seven Months
The Minority Prospects agreement follows two earlier 2026 deals: Youth Prospects signed in April and Doubted Athletes signed in June. Perfect Game frames all three as a way to meet players, families and fans where they already are, through platforms with established amateur baseball and softball audiences.
The pattern is consistent across the three. Perfect Game is licensing coverage of its events to digital-first media brands rather than keeping that coverage in-house. Each partner brings its own audience.
The deals so far have shared a structure but left key details unannounced. Perfect Game has not said how coverage of a given event is divided when more than one creator partner wants it, or whether more partners will be added before the 2027 season.
