Expanding the Managed Facilities Network
The Sports Facilities Companies, based in Clearwater, Florida, announced the acquisition of RCI Sports Management on February 12, 2026. The deal brings RCI’s portfolio of managed properties in Texas, Kansas, and the central United States into SFC’s national network of sports, recreation, and event facilities.
RCI Sports Management, founded in Texas, specializes in facility management, sponsorship activation, and event programming for municipal and privately owned sports complexes. The company has built operating agreements across the central U.S., focusing on contract management, financial oversight, and community stakeholder engagement.
The acquisition adds three facilities to what SFC calls the SF Network: The Refinery Fieldhouse in Garden City, Kansas; Amarillo Netplex in Amarillo, Texas; and Travis Fields at Midtown Park in Bryan, Texas.
Three Facilities Join the SF Network
The Refinery Fieldhouse opened in 2025 as a 200,000-square-foot sports, convention, and entertainment center in Garden City, Kansas. The facility includes six basketball courts, six volleyball courts, five pickleball courts, and a multi-sport indoor turf field for football, soccer, softball, and baseball. Additional features include an 11,000-square-foot conference center with capacity for more than 500 guests, an arcade, restaurant, bar, hospitality suites, and a walking track.
Amarillo Netplex operates as a 62,000-square-foot indoor multi-use sports hub with courts adaptable for volleyball, pickleball, basketball, and futsal. The facility includes a dedicated pickleball pro shop, private party room, and on-site food and beverage service. It hosts leagues, tournaments, clinics, and community events throughout the year.
Travis Fields at Midtown Park, which opened in February 2022, features three all-synthetic turf baseball and softball fields with 225-foot fences, eight batting cages, and flexible mounds. The venue hosts more than 35 events each year, serving local Little League teams, adult recreational leagues, and regional tournaments in Bryan and Central Texas.
Integration and Operational Strategy
Kristin Stroud, founder of RCI Sports Management, and the RCI operations team will continue managing existing client relationships while gaining access to SFC’s development, marketing, sponsorship, and destination management services. The combined organization will focus on integrated sales and marketing, standardized operating systems, and expanded national event pipelines.
“Joining The Sports Facilities Companies allows us to take everything we’ve built at RCI and scale it nationally,” Stroud said in the announcement. “We’ve always believed in being true partners to the communities and owners we serve, not just operators. SFC shares that philosophy and brings the resources, systems, and national platform to help our clients and our team grow in bigger, more impactful ways.”
Jason Clement, founder and CEO of SFC, described RCI’s approach as focused on measurable results for cities and facility owners. “Their team understands that a sports complex is more than fields and courts, it’s an economic engine, a community gathering place, and a long-term asset for the public,” Clement said.
Building a National Platform for Sports Destinations
SFC positions the acquisition as part of a growth strategy to expand presence in mid-market and high-growth communities across the country. The company operates over 100 managed venues with approximately 5,000 team members, generating nearly 30 million guest visits and producing almost $1 billion in economic impact annually.
The deal reinforces SFC’s focus on public-private partnerships and performance-based facility management. The company provides services ranging from sports tourism and recreation master planning to feasibility studies and facility management for municipalities, private developers, and community stakeholders.
