Perfect Game, which describes itself as the world’s largest youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, launches PG Central tonight, a live, on-location show debuting at 7:00 p.m. ET from the WWBA World Championship in Jupiter, Florida. The Perfect Game PG Central premiere will reveal the company’s 2027 event dates, and the program is powered by ZT Athletics, according to the company’s October 7, 2026 announcement.
The show will stream on all Perfect Game social channels, the free PGTV app and PerfectGame.TV, the company said.
What Will Perfect Game PG Central Cover?
The inaugural episodes center on the 2027 schedule. Perfect Game said viewers will get a first look at the dates for its Flagship, Premier, Signature and Classic events, the four tiers of its national tournament calendar.
Beyond the schedule release, Perfect Game outlined five programming areas for the show:
- News and updates on new Perfect Game initiatives, events and announcements
- Rankings and scouting analysis from experienced baseball evaluators
- Technology enhancements covering the tools athletes, coaches and families use within the Perfect Game experience
- Expert perspectives from travel ball coaches, scouts, college recruiters and MLB legends
- Event coverage with daily analysis, interviews and behind-the-scenes access at Flagship Events, which the company calls the highest level of national competition in youth baseball
Perfect Game described the show as a one-stop source for parents and athletes trying to understand the travel baseball pathway and the opportunities available to players as they develop.
Daron Sutton, Jason Kidd and Two Former MLB All-Stars Open the Show
Veteran baseball broadcaster Daron Sutton hosts PG Central. Early guest appearances include Jason Kidd, whom Perfect Game identified as a two-time NBA Hall of Famer and a travel baseball dad, along with former MLB All-Stars Mo Vaughn and Ryan Klesko.
In the coming months, the guest list will expand to coaches, scouts, college recruiters, brand leaders and MLB legends, according to the release.
Kash Shaikh, Chief Marketing Officer and Head of International at Perfect Game, framed the launch as part of a broader media effort.
“We’re very excited for the launch of PG Central, the latest addition to our growing media platform,” Shaikh said. He added that the show will let the community stay close to the news and stories shaping youth baseball, while families and fans can experience it in person at Flagship Events.
The Scouting Footprint Behind Perfect Game’s Media Expansion
Perfect Game positions PG Central as the latest expansion of its media and content offerings. The company’s scale gives the show a deep pool of events and players to draw from.
According to Perfect Game, the company produces nearly 10,000 events each year, along with hundreds of thousands of games and showcases nationwide. The company reports that more than 2,600 players who competed in a Perfect Game event have gone on to play in Major League Baseball.
The draft numbers are just as concentrated. Perfect Game says 16,401 of its alumni have been selected in the MLB First-Year Player Draft since 2003. In the 2025 Draft, 92 percent of all selected players had played in Perfect Game events, and every player taken on the draft’s first day had attended a Perfect Game event, the company said.
That pipeline is the subject matter PG Central’s rankings and scouting segments are built around.
From the Jupiter Premiere to Every 2027 Flagship Event
Jupiter is the starting point, not the only stop. Perfect Game said PG Central is slated to be onsite at all of its Flagship Events throughout 2027, with programming originating from the events themselves and offering behind-the-scenes access alongside interviews with baseball leaders.
What the announcement leaves open is cadence and economics. Perfect Game has not said how often PG Central will air between Flagship Events, nor disclosed the terms of its partnership with ZT Athletics.
