Key Takeaways
- Unrivaled Sports, with more than 800,000 young athletes a year, is now a p°Motion partner, the company announced October 6, 2026.
- New Jersey Youth Soccer adds a second channel, representing more than 120,000 players ages 5 to 19 across the state.
- p°Motion CEO Jason Woo says the platform can accurately predict injuries as far as 18 months ahead of time.
- Neither partner disclosed financial terms, family pricing, or a rollout schedule for the assessments.
p°Motion, a Los Angeles-based movement intelligence and predictive health platform, announced partnerships on October 6, 2026 with Unrivaled Sports and New Jersey Youth Soccer (NJYS) to expand access to its movement assessments for young athletes. Unrivaled Sports reaches more than 800,000 youth athletes annually and NJYS represents more than 120,000 players, according to the announcement. The deals carry a platform already used in Major League Baseball into youth sports injury prevention through two large operators.
What Does p°Motion’s Platform Actually Do?
p°Motion analyzes how people move, identifies biomechanical inefficiencies, and delivers personalized corrective programs aimed at improving performance and reducing injury risk, according to the company. Founded in 2019, the platform is built on more than 40 years of movement science and uses proprietary artificial intelligence, the company said.
Its technology is already used by professional athletes and coaches across Major League Baseball and other professional sports organizations, per the release. The youth partnerships extend that work to younger, non-elite athletes.
“For decades, this level of movement expertise has largely been available only to elite athletes, where we can accurately predict injuries up to 18 months before they occur,” said Jason Woo, CEO of p°Motion. “No matter your background, we want to try and give them another day to play the game.”
Unrivaled Sports and NJ Youth Soccer Give Youth Sports Injury Prevention Scale
The two partners reach young athletes through very different models.
Unrivaled Sports operates youth sports venues, properties, and programming under brands including Cooperstown All Star Village, Ripken Baseball Experiences, Diamond Nation, Unrivaled Flag, and We Are Camp action sports, according to the company description. Its footprint runs from multi-day tournament destinations to hometown leagues.
“Our partnership with p°Motion brings an innovative approach to athlete health directly into the youth sports experience,” said Meredith Thompson, Senior Director of Player Health and Safety at Unrivaled Sports. “By helping young athletes better understand how they move, we can create more informed, athlete-first experiences and continue raising the standard for youth sports.”
NJYS is a 501(c)(3) affiliated with US Youth Soccer and the U.S. Soccer Federation. Founded in 1974, it counts more than 120,000 players, more than 10,000 coaches, and thousands of volunteers, per the organization. Its programs include the Olympic Development Program, State Cup tournaments, coach certification, and TOPSoccer for athletes with disabilities.
Evan Dabby, Chief Executive Officer of NJYS, said the partnership “creates an opportunity to make innovative movement assessments more accessible and provide players, families and coaches with meaningful information that can support each athlete’s development.”
Objective Movement Data for Youth Coaches
For NJYS, the technical case centers on coaching. James Galanis, Technical Director of NJYS, tied the assessments directly to on-field skills.
“Balance, coordination, acceleration, deceleration and changes of direction all influence how effectively a player can perform technical actions on the field,” Galanis said. “p°Motion can provide coaches and athletes with objective information that complements on-field observation and helps inform age-appropriate training as players grow and develop.”
That framing positions the assessments as a supplement to coaching judgment rather than a replacement for it, with an emphasis on adjusting training as athletes go through growth stages.
p°Motion said its broader goal is to establish predictive movement health as a standard part of athlete development as participation in organized youth sports grows, giving athletes, families, and coaches new tools across every stage of an athlete’s journey.
From MLB Clubhouses to Cooperstown Diamonds and New Jersey Pitches
The partnerships give p°Motion two distribution paths into youth sports: a for-profit events and venues operator spanning multiple sports, and a statewide nonprofit governing body in soccer. Both organizations framed the deal around player health and access, and both described the assessments as information for families and coaches.
What the announcement left out is as notable as what it included. The release did not specify financial terms, what families will pay, whether assessments will be offered at Unrivaled venues or through NJYS clubs, or when the rollout begins. The combined reach is large on paper; the number of those 800,000-plus Unrivaled athletes and 120,000-plus NJYS players who actually complete an assessment will determine how much this partnership delivers.
