Key Takeaways
- SportsEngine Play will stream nearly 100 Hype Nation Volleyball tournaments across 50 cities and 24 states in 2026
- The partnership will bring over 20,000 youth volleyball matches to families and fans nationwide
- SportsEngine’s AES platform will also handle registration and scheduling for all Hype Nation events, which include four tournament brands
- The deal builds on existing camera infrastructure, with nearly 250 playing surfaces already equipped at Sports Facilities Companies venues since 2024
- Many tournament locations are operated by Sports Facilities Companies, a partner to both organizations
SportsEngine Play has locked in a multi-year streaming rights partnership with the Hype Nation Volleyball Network, giving the platform exclusive rights to broadcast nearly 100 youth volleyball tournaments in 2026.
The agreement covers events spanning 50 cities and 24 states, with over 20,000 matches scheduled for streaming. Families, coaches, and scouts will be able to watch matches remotely through SportsEngine Play’s platform.
Streaming Rights Expand Hype Nation’s National Reach
Hype Nation Volleyball Network operates four tournament brands: Hype Nation Volleyball, Level 12 Sports, Showtime Events, and Vette City Events. All events under these brands will now be broadcast on SportsEngine Play.
“SportsEngine Play is thrilled to partner with Hype Nation to stream over 20,000 matches so families, fans, and players never miss a moment,” said Nick Busto, VP of Video Operations at SportsEngine Play.
Justin Trout, Director of Hype Nation Volleyball, said the partnership will expand accessibility. “They bring an outstanding platform that is going to considerably expand the accessibility of our tournaments, making our events easier to enjoy for families across the country.”
Beyond streaming, SportsEngine’s AES platform will manage registration and scheduling for all Hype Nation events. This integration gives the company control over both the operational backend and the viewer experience.
Building on Established Camera Infrastructure
The partnership leverages existing technology investments. Since 2024, SportsEngine Play has installed cameras covering nearly 250 playing surfaces at facilities operated by Sports Facilities Companies.
Many Hype Nation tournaments take place at Sports Facilities Companies venues. The company is a partner to both Hype Nation and SportsEngine Play, creating a three-way operational relationship.
Busto described the partnership as “progression” from camera installation to streaming rights, calling it “the standard for the future of live streaming in youth sports.”
The camera network provides the physical infrastructure, while the streaming rights deal determines who can broadcast from those locations. With both pieces in place, SportsEngine Play controls the full distribution chain for these events.
What This Means for Youth Volleyball Families
For families with athletes competing in Hype Nation events, the partnership means consistent streaming access across all tournaments in the network. Parents and relatives who can’t travel to competitions will be able to watch matches in real time.
The scale is significant. Nearly 100 events across 24 states suggests broad geographic coverage, reducing travel requirements for spectators while maintaining visibility for athletes seeking college recruitment opportunities.
SportsEngine Play operates as the streaming division of SportsEngine, which provides management technology for youth sports clubs, leagues, tournaments, and teams. SportsEngine is part of VERSANT, Comcast Corporation’s planned spin-off focused on cable assets and digital businesses.
